Privacy Policy
How RiceBall collects, uses, and protects information for sellers, buyers, and visitors on GetRiceBall.com.
Last updated: July 15, 2026
RiceBall (“RiceBall,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates https://getriceball.com and related applications that provide an AI link-in-bio / creator storefront (Classic storefront or AI chat storefront), product listings, bookings, courses, checkout, and seller tools (collectively, the “Service”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have. By using RiceBall as a seller, buyer, or visitor, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
This page is intended for transparency (including for third-party sign-in providers such as Google). It is not legal advice.
1. Who this policy covers
- Sellers — creators and businesses who create accounts, configure storefronts, list products or services, and use the seller dashboard.
- Buyers — people who browse public storefronts, purchase products, book sessions, or chat with a store’s AI assistant.
- Visitors — people who view our marketing site or public storefronts without signing in.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Account and profile information
When you sign up or sign in, we collect information such as:
- Email address
- Authentication data (including when you use Google Sign-In or other providers we enable)
- Store name, handle/username, bio, avatar, social links, and branding you choose to provide
Authentication is provided through our auth infrastructure partner (Supabase). Google may share basic profile information (for example, name and email) according to your Google account permissions and Google’s privacy policy.
2.2 Store, product, and commerce data
Sellers may upload or configure product titles, descriptions, prices, images, FAQs, courses, availability, booking settings, and related store content.
Buyers may provide name, email, order notes, and other details needed to complete a purchase, digital delivery, or booking.
2.3 AI storefront / chat data
On AI storefronts, buyers may send messages to an assistant that uses seller-provided listings and FAQs. We may store chat messages and related session identifiers to:
- Deliver the conversation
- Maintain reliability and security
- Help sellers understand buyer questions (where that feature is available)
Do not submit sensitive personal data in chat that you do not want processed for these purposes.
2.4 Usage and technical data
We automatically collect information such as:
- Pages and storefronts viewed, and product interactions (for example, opening a product or starting checkout)
- Device and browser type, IP address (and approximate location derived from it), and referral source
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies)
- Performance and error diagnostics (for example, Vercel Speed Insights or similar tooling we enable)
2.5 Payment information
Payments for buyer purchases and seller subscriptions / plans may be processed by Stripe (or another payment partner we disclose). Card numbers and sensitive payment credentials are handled by the payment processor; RiceBall does not store full card numbers on our servers. We receive limited payment metadata needed to fulfill orders, confirm subscriptions, and prevent fraud (for example, payment status and transaction references).
2.6 Integrations
If a seller connects third-party tools (for example, Cal.com for scheduling or Google Calendar where offered), relevant booking or calendar data may be shared between RiceBall and that provider under the seller’s configuration and the provider’s own privacy policy.
2.7 Communications
If you contact us, join a waitlist, or receive transactional emails (for example, account or order updates), we process the content of those communications and your contact details.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service
- Authenticate users and protect accounts
- Host and display storefronts (Classic and AI)
- Process seller subscriptions, orders, bookings, and delivery flows
- Send service-related messages (and marketing only where allowed and with an opt-out)
- Analyze usage to debug, prevent abuse, and improve product quality
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
RiceBall uses cookies and similar technologies for:
- Authentication — keeping you signed in
- Security and fraud prevention
- Preferences — for example, remembering a recently visited storefront where applicable
- Session functionality — cart, checkout, and chat sessions
- Analytics / performance — understanding how the Service is used
You can control cookies in your browser. Blocking some cookies may break sign-in, checkout, or other features.
5. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us run RiceBall, such as hosting (Vercel), database/auth storage (Supabase), payments (Stripe), email delivery, analytics/performance tooling, and similar vendors who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements where required
- Sellers, when you buy from or interact with their store (order, contact, and relevant chat context needed to fulfill)
- Integration partners chosen by sellers (for example, Cal.com)
- Sign-in providers you choose (for example, Google), according to that provider’s terms
- Legal and safety recipients when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to respond to valid legal process
- Parties to a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, with notice where required by law
6. Roles: RiceBall vs sellers
For data buyers submit to a seller’s store (orders, bookings, chat about that seller’s products), the seller often decides how to use that data to fulfill and support the purchase. RiceBall provides the platform infrastructure. Sellers are responsible for their own privacy practices toward their customers where they are controllers of that customer relationship.
7. Data retention
We retain information as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Sellers can update or delete much of their store content in the dashboard. You may request account deletion by contacting us (see Contact).
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is fully secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise rights, contact us using the details below. We may verify your identity before responding.
You may disconnect Google Sign-In from your Google account settings. You may opt out of non-essential marketing emails via unsubscribe links.
10. Children
RiceBall is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11. International processing
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that information may be transferred to those locations subject to applicable law.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the revised version at https://getriceball.com/privacy and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy where permitted by law.
